To buy or not to buy!HELP!

Sooo to make a long story short, a friend of mine will be serving overseas for an 18 month term. He calls me up and offers me his base model 2006 Mazda 6 with 51,000 miles for the $6100 he still owes on it.

Having a child and very little time to clean up, the interior is a bit dirty. Went for a ride, everything checked out pretty good. There is a bit of rash on one of the sides but i believe most will buff out leaving just a small dent. Is it worth it? Thanks for the help guys

lol thanks. So does it sound like a decent deal? Theres just something about those god awful hubcaps that makes me hate the car. But, I need something to get me around and not look a more professional than my current 2 cars.
(my other two cars are a project EK(honda) and the beater is a 94 prism)

Some more input would be appreciated

The Mazda6 is a very nice looking car and if you can get the scuff buffed out, it will give you a nice proffesional look that you're looking for. As far as the dent goes, I'd call around to a couple of paintless dent repair people and have that taken care of as well. 6100 sounds like a good deal and I would say go for it. Especially if everything seems good to you and it's from a friend.
