to bra or new bumper

hey guys i was in a recent collision where my left front corner of my bumper was hit and it is creased now at that corner. .. the headlamp was pushed back about a 1 cm but i think i can pull it out when i start workign on it.

but my question is when i do fix my headlamp. . .should i get a bra (i got a pretty good deal on one if i go for it) or should i get a used bumper (found one for 120 shipped but the guy said it would eventually need to be painted as there are some surface scratches on the midnight blue one that he has)

i guess i'd have to see how bad the bumper is. ..but there are no pics of it and just the guys word (his shop is in TX and im in FL so i can't exactly go and check it out)


the bra will cover up my mistake pretty nicely and so will a new bumper


any thoughts?

bumper... I just don't like the way that most bras look on the P5. I mean, go either way, but I would suggest the new bumper.

I have a bra, I like the protection because I drive on the highway a lot, but it DOES require a bunch of pain in the ass care. I take the hood protector portion off whenever its raining a lot and clean it well... the main bumper cover portion doesnt seem to get as much water and debris under it like the hood part. But I still have to take the bra off pretty much every week and make sure its all clean and dry inside.

IMO, fix it right the first time... if you don't, then chances are you will never get around to it, because there is always something better to spend the money on, and after all, it wont be too "noticable" because of your bra fix plan.

if i had a yellow or red he said that they had perfect replacemetns for me

I talked to Jose and he quoted 120 shipped for the bumper in question as it might need to be repainted

hmm. .........i think ill just ordre it anyway......if i do need it repainted it'll cost like like anotehr 100. ...i need the bumper before the meet on NOV 8th so i gotta get it shipped out as soon as i can. ...thanks for you offer though

120 is a hundred less than a new oem bumper unpainted

If you're going to spend the money to paint one, you should buy one of the other colors. Without looking at the blue one you don't know if the scratches are deep enough to go into the pastic, or if they're just surface ones. I'd get an undamaged one in a different color and repaint that.
