2003 Spicy Orange MSP & Mazda 6 S
OK so ghostp5 and I have been discussing a CA ProMazda chapter. Sounds like a great opportunity for ProMazda and for us also. We would be doing the same thing as we are now, only it would be "official" Maybe we would get some gear made up, I dont know.. its all in the future. But I think this could be a great start.

I would be So Cals president, and 2k3Mazdaspeed would be NorCals president. (If he agrees).

Any suggestions also welcome.

If anyone needs questions or concerns addressed they can talk to me or to GhostP5. I'm Justin and Ghost is Mike. There are several benefits of being part of the ProMazda team, but it does take some small sacrifices on your part. We want to hear any ideas, or opinions that people have, even non-members or prospective members. We stress that this is a family and we are all here to help each other out. I know that things may seem a little slow since you guys are on the other side of the country and not in direct contact with us, but we will do everything we can to keep everyone updated on whats going on. Please feel free to give us a call if you need anything or send an email. We know that with anything this large there will be people that don't understand whats going on and some people that may even talk badly about what we are trying to do. Take a look at the members who are already involved and you will see some of the most recognizable and nicest people on the forums. This will be a big, happy family. ANd I'm excited to see fellow Protege members get the support that they need. This will be like no other club.

I voted yes, I feel that we can do alot for them and vise versa. But It is ultimately up to you guys, so let me know.

Not that you guys in CA will see us east coast folks alot. But I must say that everybody at ProMazda is the nicest bunch of people. I really enjoy every minute I spend hanging out with them.

Exactly what are our benifits to becoming part of promazda?? What is the important information we need to know?

instead of what can be considered a competing mazda club, i think it is in the best interest of the mazda community to join promazda. they're well organized and their membership is growing rapidly. soon, we will be able to belong to a national car club, which, i think, is cool. can you imagine if we get big enough, we can get mazda north america to start taking us seriously when problems arise with the car (clunk issues, hesitation, etc.). fixes will come faster and more thoroughly. also, they might start looking into the aftermarket, as we are all car enthusiasts who would throw down cash for some mazda certified and warrantied stuff. (well, all in hopes, otherwise, we can just be cooler than the honda and dodge guys)

not i.
im autornd
sucka-free
and munit..

the whole scenerio that happened before left a bad taste in my mouth about this.ghost is cool and pro mazda seems to be gettin huge.. but im not the type to shake hands and play nice after something happens..
to each his own and the best to all of you. you guys can count me in if we are mocc but if its pro mazda im straight.. id hate to infringe on any copyright laws by having a sticker on my car.

With regards to the membership fees there currently are none. I know Ghost is talking about instituting something. This may sound crappy. But the NC meet they just put together cost them alot. I don't want to name the figure, but maybe Ghost will. I for one really appreciate all that the senior members of ProMazda do. They have brought together people all up and down the east coast. I've met at least 30 great people just from being in Promazda. I hope to meet more in the future. Think about how awesome it would be to have a nationwide car club.

If and when there were member fees , I would use them for club gear for you guys, (IE: stickers, shirts, hats), or large events.

I'm kind of with mypfizzle, I'm not sure what really happened but all I know is that somebody comes up in here and just starts tripping out. That left a bad taste in my mouth too, and I'm certainly not gonna be paying fees to join this club. It's cool if we're gonna have some events and we need people to chip in, but I'm not down otherwise. I think my vote is gonna go towards just staying a cali mazda club.

i like the idea of an independant club.

All cali stuff has been majorly chill, in both socal and nocal. And thats the way i like it.

besides, i made such a cool logo! :D

We should have an all CA meet to discuss something like this. Get the people from the south and from the north all together and have an all mazda blowout. I would pay a fee for something like this. Maybe meet somewhere in the middle like SLO or Monterrey. I've been thinking we've needed to do something like this for a long time. I personally will be willing to make a 6 hr drive commitment for something big.

I Would do the same, and It would be perfect to all get together and plan this. Unfortunately I dont know SLO too well. So if someone can pick a location and date, I am down

The only thing I don't like about joining ProMazda, is the mandatory meets. I can understand going to a meeting with crew members to discuss what kind of setup you're going to have for a major car show like team Flux, or Hybrid would do.

I also don't know what happened with mypfizzle, but I would like to know if you guys don't mind. This info could be detrimental to everyones decision.
