TMIC question

For those of you with an aftermarket tmic, what have you done if anything to keep from ruining your rubber gasket on the ducting ? I tried waxing mine, but I can see the rubber leaving marks on the metal around the intercooler. Would paint, or powdercoating help at all ?

Try silicone seal dresser, from GM parts...or Armour All.

Something else i've noticed is that the plate around the intercooler does not stick out enough in the front of the intercooler. My duct gasket is leaving marks on the corners of the front, but hanging over the edge in the middle of the front. I mean how fn hard is it to design something that actually fits ?

buy a fmic. usless info i know.

armour all isnt advised on parts that see any heat/ some chemical reaction cases the plastics/rubbers to crack and dry out. try bug and tar remover!

oh wait...you didnt mean leaving marks on the IC. use STP sun of a gun protectant or F1 protectant. the drying out still applies with armour all. TAAADAAA!
