You are absolutely right Newf, it looks heaps different depending on light, time of day etc. When we took the photos, it was just after midday, so the sun was pretty much right on top of it. You can see in the close front ons that it comes up a brilliant shiny grey/silver. But in others, like under the bridge, its almost purple. Other times, it looks solid, not anything like metallic. My important half and I made the same comments when taking the pictures.
Its also surprising for me too, Its parked undercover at home and work, and whenever I can when we're out and about. Its rare that I get to see it in all its glory in full sun, since I drive it all the time. Still, it makes it even more special when I do see it.
It seems to catch eyes everywhere, and if you keep it nice and clean, it reflects light like nothing else I've seen, even at night. (well, you get the idea). Its the best colour for 'look backs', hands down. Finally, rice-boys are the most jealous. Seems my 'stock' is just too hot for them.
On the interior, that was one of the most important things for me (aside from the 'phwoar, that looks alright' colour reaction) when I bought it. I was looking at the equivalent toyotas, nissans, even the pug 206 GTI, which was just too small (and Ford - the SR2 which is the identical car, minus the sway bar and the sweet leathery and chrome bits ), but none of them made me like the interior. Since I was driving it all the time, I wanted the interior to look, and be, good. The six stacker in-dash is great as well. All the down-under reviews of the car remarked on the 'wheel, with one calling the driving experience a 'gropefest'. Couldn't agree more.
Its heading into Autumn here, so I'm keen to take some preetty snaps in the brown leaves, and maybe even some in the snow later on. But by then, you'll probably have yours so we'll be vying for best the best Titanium coloured *protege* photo
