tires going bald on inside tread... Help!

:
Mazda, Speed 2003.5
I have my speed lowered with goldline springs and still have the stock tires on with about 28k miles. I had my car up on the rack the other day getting my exhaust worked on and i noticed that 2 of the 4 tires were bald on the inside tread. I purchased a camber kit and am looking for some new tires. Can i put the camber kit on myself? I called tire discounters and they want 30 bucks a wheel to instal it. I have a appointment tomorrow morning to get some new tires but need to know what to do with the camber kit. Let me know what you guys think?

no i didn't. it wasn't pulling or anything so i didn't think i needed one. do you think it's jus an allignment issue and i don't need the camber kit?

Well if it's just wearing on the inside then you have a negative camber problem. So go get an alignment.

yo can just run the neg camber, and buy some nitto neo-gen tires,It will wear evenly, those tires are designed for it.

put it on an alignment machine pronto. You may have some slight negative camber, but I doubt it is enough to bald a set of street tires. Now if your tow was off combined with a little negative camber, it would bald them very quickly. You want to have a little negative camber on the front of FWD cars. I run -3 degrees of front camber and I get only slightly increased wear on the inner edges. I run the car at zero tow.

he speaketh the truth. negative camber alone won't cause really bad tire wear, unless you're running an absurd amount which will never happen without camber plates. it's definitely toe. I had like a half degree toe out after lowering mine 1.5 inches, which would cause accelerated tire wear for sure.

yeah, but usually you will see some feathering on the tire if its toe,and just inside wear if it's - camber.

ok well if you guys don't think i need the kit i will return it and get a good alignment. do you think i should get it before or after i get the new tires. i still haven't bought new tires yet

NO!
you do need the kit,but you need to take it to the alignment shop, have then add it,and align it.

accentrics are camber kits

ok i will have the kit added and get it aligned. one more questions tho. should i get it aligned and the kit put on before or after i purchase new tires?

no,I recamend you to go get the tires added, then go directly to the alignment in the same day,if not, then next day.
