Ok so Like others I have searched all over and have found no answer to my exact set up and what to see what you guys think.

02 LX protg sedan.
Running 17x7 wheels with a +40 offset. tires are 205 40 17.

suspension is ALL EBAY....
Sensen struts and M2 springs... which claim 1.9" drop.

my issue is.... on BAULD 205 40s I'm rubbing like crazy... I'm talking on turns, speed bumps, u turns, etc. completely useless for normal driving unless your use to cars that rub.

anyways... my question is... is my +40 the issue or is it the 1.9" drop... or the 17" wheels? I'm going to be shopping for new wheels and tires this week so I would like to make an informed purchase...

I wouldn't mind going smaller to a 16" wheel with a little more side wall... but I really need it to not rub so much.

Rubbing on the fender or the strut? Assuming your rubbing on the front but not the rear? 17x7 et 55 is stock for the msp and doesn't rub on my car that is dropped maybe 3/4"front and 1/2" rear

my guess is its a combination of the wheels and springs. i bet you are rubbing the fenders because the springs drop almost 2", and they are probably way too soft. add to that wheels that are closer to the fenders, and you get rubbing.

Rubbing on all 4 corners, fronts and rears, but you answered my question.... et55. being at 40... I'm to far out.

They actually feel really Hard. The car feels like a damn go cart. I'll look for something with a higher offset and see how that works.

Drop a string and weight from where you want your wheels to be, measure to hub. New offset is that measurement. Move em in a little if you want to get rid of rubbing. Ive been trying to lift my MSP rear as I put normal protege tokicos on with the racing beats and its super low now. Just installed the Tannabe P5 springs in the back. They were taller then the MSP just sitting on the floor, but is maybe just a little higher in the rear then before. Guess ill just drop the front to match haha
