tire rotation

thanks for the info - I'll check for vibration at high speeds, and if it's cool, I saved 30 bucks

$30 for balancing all 4 tires is good, if they use tape weights. Places usually charge more for tape weights. Around here the going price is $40 for 4 tires with tape weights.

And watch out where you go too, not all places will use the same machines and some can do a poor job. Find a place with a good balancing machine and stick with them, it's worth not having to get it redone after someone screws it up.

you are supposed to balance your tires every other rotation... so about every 10-12k miles...

if you do not do this your tires will wear uneven and prematurely wearout ...

even if you dont feel a vibration dosent mean your tires are in balance..

most of the time you wont feel a vibration until you get about 1oz out of balance.. which is quite a bit...

now if you purchased tires from discount tire they do all these services for free...

most dealerships have no clue what to do with tires... i see many cars that come from dealers that are balanced improperly...

$40 is WAY to muchto pay for a balance and rotation...
take your car to a large well known NATIONAL company... you will get the best service by doing this..

The oem dunlops are not directional. Look on the sidewall, no arrow. Wal-mart, sears, and places like that are good places to go for low prices. If you have new tires go to the place you bought the tires, somitimes they balance your tires for free. Sears tire stores do this.

the dunlops are not directional... they are asemetrical...

there should be markings for "this side out" on your tire..
