Tire Problem

Hmm I just noticed that my MX-5 tires have this weirdness happening around the edges of the tires. It looks like acid has etched away the tire. Could this be age? It's an 03 that I just bought and when I purchased it they only had 78 miles on them. I wonder if they didn't treat the tires at all while it sat for a year at the dealership. Another good question - will the dealership replace these tires? Doubtful huh!?! (headshake

are you sure it's not just tire wear or does it look somehow different? a picture might be helpful

Very doubtful that the dealer will replace a wear item free of charge.

Actually, scratch that, they won't. Not Mazda dealers anyway.
