It all started like 3 weeks ago, the little (!) thing came on one day after work, im like wtf is this. Thought it was the check engine light, but i saw it wasnt the little picture of the engine. So i figured it was maybe some oil alert or somthin. So i got my book out, and it say one of my tires had low air. I was thinkin, wow thats a cool feature, tells me when i need air. So i get out and look at my tires. I notice that the front tires are a bit low, so i head off to a gas station and put some air in them. Light goes off, everything is ok.
THEN, the next day, i get in my car to go to work, bam, light comes on. im like wtf. I look at the tires, and they look fine, so i say ok... ill put a bit more in.. I do that before work, and it doesnt go off. But the tires say on them, no mroe than 50 PSI, and i put a little over 50 according to the gauge on the air hose at the gas station and the light wont go off. It was on for about a week or 2. Then randomly it turned off w/o me doing anything. So i went on with life. BUT, then of course, it just HAD to come back on the other day. and the tire pressure is still 50+ according to the gauge. Do these things ware out easy or have alot of problems? I call the mazda dealer, but they never ****** anwer their damn phone...

50+ psi? does the light come on for too much... haha i run mine at 34... jesus, you hit a bump to hard ur about to explode. lol

yeah the gauge says 50 psi, but it doesnt LOOK that inflated. Prolly a bad gauge, but idk. Maybe i need to buy a nice one and see

Yes, make a small investment in a good tire gauge. Then I would substantially lower your tire pressure...over inflation will cause premature tire wear and is probably not safe. If you're still having light problems, could be a bad sensor. I think the dealer has a tool they can scan the TPMS to see if they're good...though, I'm not 100% sure.

You can't tell if your tires are a little underinflated by looking at them. Get a good tire gauge and check all four tires. Inflate to the recommended placard pressures.

Besides alerting when the tires go below a certain threshold, the TPMS system will alert if there is a large enough DIFFERENCE in pressure between any of the tires.

You should check your air pressure every couple of weeks. It's important.

from what i read, the TPS goes off if its under 23psi but also over 50psi. not sure wehre i read that but i do remember those facts.

I just got a new tire pressure gauge, and it says they are at like 55 psi, i guess thats too much. but compareing them to the rear tires. they look lesss in flated than them. Prolly suppose to b like that... Shrug, ill let some air out. Whats the stock PSI suggested for the car?

of course the fronts look less inflated than the rear, there is an engine in the front which is more weight so its gonna look less inflated.

yeah lol, i just went in my manual, saw the recomended pressures. Which i filled to them, and what do you know, the light is still on even after turning it on and drivin around a bit. Maybe it needs to go a long distance before it sense's it? idk wtf the deal is. Ill drive it to work tomorrow, if the s*** dont turn off. Guess its to the shop i go.
