Tire mounted and balanced

Hey guys and gals... just wondering, what's the most I should pay to get a new tire mounted and balanced on my car? I have a bubble on one tire and I have a new one here... but I don't wanna get ripped off. How much does the stealership cost?

Don't go to the dealership for that...my friend got his wheels mounted & balanced at Walmart for like $20...you just have to be careful if they are larger than 17s.

my dealership actually TOLD me to go somewhere else (wow)
they didn't want to touch the 17"'s...said their equipment is too old.

anyway, plan on around $25+ (if not at walmart) due to larger size rim charges that most places hit you with. I'd suggest going to Tirerack.com and looking up installers, and read their reviews, it'll give you a good idea of who's decent, as well as phone #'s so you can call and find out exact prices. I got mine balanced and rotated for $19.99 at firestone.

WAIT!!!!! find a wheel/tire place that is ANAL about handleing your wheels... most places will do it quickly/cheaply, but they may scratch your wheel, or **** it up along the rim. me=voice of experience

Thanks for the input guys... I still have stock tires, so they're 16's. I'll call around to see... there's a ton of flat fix places here in Philly that I can give a few bucks to, but I would have to be watching them the WHOLE time. I'll be safer going to a larger company. THANKS!
