Tips to clean/protect leather interior?

I've been using VLR as well. Works well on all the surfaces.

I just picked up some Meguiars Ultimate leather Balm from Walmart the other day after reading about it on some detailing forums. Meguiars claims that it is it's highest quality leather conditioner with the highest concentration of premium ingredients. I tried it out yesterday on my drivers seat and really like the stuff, it leaves a nice, not to shiny finish and the seats feel softer then when I started. When I do the passenger and back seats today I'll try to snap a 50/50 pic to upload. Other products that I've used and liked are megs Matte interior protectant, 303 protectant and Optimum Leather protectant plus. Those all have varying levels of cleaner in them. For deeper cleaning I just use Megs APC 10:1 with a micro fiber and then follow up with conditioner/protectant.

I already have Meguiars APC and 303 protectant. Is it safe to use this combo on my leather seats?

The most important care you can give you leather is to keep it clean. 99% of automotive leather (in the cars we can afford) is coated and dirt can accelerate removal of the coating so wipe it down often with a mild all purpose cleaner or even plain water.

Don't use any oil or cream based products as they can't be absorbed into the coated leather and will just attract dirt.

Optimum Leather Protectant (AKA Protectant Plus) was designed for coated leather--it contains mild cleaners and a protectant formulated for coated leather. It is also very good for the vinyl portions of the interior so makes the job very easy. It is a thin liquid that you spray onto a MF towel or applicator and wipe on to the leather.

I've used it since day one on my 10 year old Passat and the leather looks like the day I picked it up.

Compare to other vehicles I owned, most of which had urethane steering wheels but recent one had perforated leather, I find that the steering wheel in the CX-5 gets sticky very easily, especially on long drives. This is from sweat on my hands and/or not completely clean hands.

What do you guys do to get the leather covered steering wheel in the CX-5 to not feel sticky? I find it quite difficult to clean.

Just used Meguiars APC 10:1 and 303 Protectant since I have them at home. Will see how seats hold up. But will look into other products later. The seats look like new again. That 303 is amazing!
