Tinting in Savannah

I was wondering if anyone here knows of someone that got their car tinted in Savannah. Shop name? Price and warranty?

I'm looking to get the MSP tinted (32-35% to stay legal) and went to one shop that would do it for $130, but only 2 year warranty and said they could get it done in an hour and a half. I'm just trying to make sure that I get a quality job done while not getting slaughtered on price. Thanks for any help.

BTW - $130 with a 2 year warranty is a good deal. The tint will (probably)last longer than you will own the car.

man, 20% is nice, looks sweet. i thought about going that dark, but didn't want to worry about it. i'm going to call a few more places, and if i can't find something comparably priced (under $150 w/ lifetime) then i'll just use this one shop. honestly, i'm not sure why i got worried about it all of a sudden, i thought it was a great deal when he said it.

i got 20% on my aswell. hmm some reason i cant upload pictures have to attach

damn you people. quit tempting me with your 20% tint. both cars look mighty good though, any problems with the defroster lines? i've read that some places say they are really thick and hard to tint.

If you can wait a week, I've got a bud down there who found the shop that does the work for the stealerships. Thing is, he just got married and is in Vegas for a week, so I'll ask him when he gets back. (He's got a mid. blue P5)

I was in Sav. this past weekend btw, did ya see me? It was a beautiful weekend down there.

well, i actually found a place today that will do it for $145 with a 6 year warranty. i'm dropping it off tomorrow morning and getting it back in the afternoon. we'll see how that goes. but i'd still like to know about this other tinter, because some of my friends are getting ready to tint their altima.

not sure if i saw you, i am noticing more p5s now that i'm on team mazda.

also, saw the yellow msp that's here, we rode side by side for a little bit down abercorn, but i didn't get a chance to talk to him or anything, he didn't really seem like he would have pulled over to talk anyways.

ok, so i dropped the car off today and talked to the guys. apparently they do cars for most of the dealerships here in savannah and only use madico and llumar. the guy really seemed to know his stuff and is a turbo fanatic to boot.

ok, car is back and looking nice. still a few water bubbles, but they are already less evident after a day. unfortunately, it rained yesterday and i had to work past daylight today again, so no pictures yet. i have to go present a paper at a conference in hunstville, AL, so i'll take pictures when i get back sunday. at least i don't have to watch it through its ugly stage.

ok, finally got outside and took some pics. it's 35% done by audio link in savannah, 6 year warranty for $150 total. it's not quite as dark as it looks in some of these, but i think one of the ones from the back shows how light it really looks. you can also see the plate frame i got for the car.

thanks, i'm loving it. got it done just in time, it's creeping towards and above 80 this week down here.

i think technically it's 32%, but you most shops don't have it in that specific percentage, so 35% is what most tint people carry. please correct me if i'm wrong.

Worst case scenario a little ticket then get it removed(front windows only) then take a picture and go to court to prove you fixed it. But I've had 20% or darker on all my cars for 10 years now and have only had a cop ask about it once. He asked if it was legal and where i got it done and I just said I don;t know and I bout the car like this. He said ok. Have a nice day.

I wouldn't(and obviously I don't) worry about it.

And yes Generix - your right - 32%.

yeah, quick funny story for you. a friend of mine's wife had a civic for years with 20% on the windows and 5% on the back. never got stopped for it. sold it to some teenage girl, the next week his mom (who works at the police station) said the girl got stopped and got a ticket for illegal tint.

one of the reasons i stuck with a higher percentage. although i love the darker tint.
