Tinting In San Diego

Hey guy, not a usual poster, but i wanna get my windows tinted but i dont know that much about it. Like the ratings and stuff....what have most people gone with on the P5? i know its all personal preference but hey its always good to have some examples. Oh ya and if anyone lives in San Diego and u got your windows tinted here, what did u pay for it? and did they do a good job. I dont want any of that bubbling haha. by ya thnx for the info. im prolly gonna tint everything but the windshield if i can, if not ill leave the driver and passanger windows open. well the P5 has alot of windows....i paid 425 but it was the highest quality they had, i guess its suppose to last for years and some UV ray nonsense...anyways just be careful with it cause cali is gay with window tints, i gotta 118.00 ticket for mine and they just wanted me to take off the front 2 windows, i still havent, im not gunna throw my money away, i paid the ticket and i just keep my windows rolled down when i see a pig anywhere...

Im up in the Riverside area, and I had mine done at Mikes Tint Shop. He does most of the show cars and the car clubs up this way. I only paid $200. He is very good and had it done in about two hours. He also does all the crazy window tint colors and metallic tints.

I got mine done like 3 years ago and still the same as it was then, which is fantastic. I got it done down in Chula Vista, I forgot the name of the place but its on broadway. I'll get more info when I find my freakin receipt. I think I paid like $200 all the way around (except front and moon roof). I got like 50% in the fronts and the rest from the back is 5%.

Wow, that seems REALLY steep. I got a quote here in Augusta, GA for $150.

i havent gotten mine tinted yet but i live in cali, farther north than you but my quote was about 220 although they warranted their work and the tint lifetime

I bought mine Tinted, so I couldn't tell you about price, but I have had 3 other cars get their windows tinted by the same guy out of encinitas.

He will come to you, is fairly quick, and guarantees the tint for as long as you own the car. His prices are pretty competative too.

On my last truck I asked him to tint it as dark as he could, but not too much as too attract cops. He suggested a tint (can't remember what %) and I said OK. I was only hassled once in 2.5yrs (and I never tried to avoid cops by rolling down windows or anything) and even then it was just a warning.

i got 18% all the way around minus the moonroof. like $260ish from expert window tint in la mesa, they did a great job, ive had 3 of my cars done there and always refer friends.

Are you military? Normally they have good deals +tax free.

I got my CX-7 done for $299 for all 7 windows, including the two in front of the mirrors. Solar Gard Quantum I believe the film was....

i got all mine done for 180 at a place called Solar Eclipse down in National City. The dude who did mine is named Norm. If you go there...ask for him to do it...he owns an MP3 and knows what hes doing. Plus they warranty it for life. So if it ever bubbles, tears, or whatever...bring the receipt back to them and they'll redo it.
