Tint in Maryland

Finally getting mine done tommorow. There is a place outside of Andrews AFB called the tint spot. He is charging me $120.00 for all windows. I will try and get some information to this thread. Even at $120.00 he is the cheapest around. California tint did my Honda and it is starting to peel but it has been 5 yrs.(laserp5)

we need to set up a date and time...i can go in from work (lunch hour) for an appointment but need to schedule time in due to the fact that i'm normally swamped at work

I got an awesome job for $120.00 bones. The front two are 35% and the rest is 20%. He is a one man band with basically a garage bay, but an extremely nice guy. The film he uses is maddico films. No GB but damn that is alot of windows cheap.

The Cali Tint deal seems great. 220 with 50 dollars discount? that's 170 total. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Plus, I'm sure Cali Tint offers Lifetime Warranty on their film. Am I correct on this Lisa? Woo hoo.

Prices :
Wagons $179
4 Dr $169
2 Dr $ 149
for Solarguard brand tint. Life Time Warrenty from this shop on this metalic tint.

For 3M brand tint, add about $100 more, which also includes a nationwide lifetime warrenty, and it is more durrable and can withstand cleaning with any kind of window cleaner without discoloring, and also appears darker then other brands at the same percentage from outside.

Proposed group buy discount is 10% off the above prices.

The shop has a computer/machine that cuts the film to exact dimentions for every car, which eliminates any cutting on the car, eliminating any possiblity of glass etching or accidental cuts to the rubber window trim.

This shop also can install Clear Shield Film which forms an "invisible bra" that you have applied to the front end of your car to prevent stone chips from hitting your paint.

Another service they provide is a film that covers and protects lights.

Their skilled installers can also put words within the tint like club names or whatever by way of contrasting tint colors or densities.

They work by appointment, and accept cash or check only.
They can do a car in about an hour, and even suggested with prior arrangement we can either all come at once, or in smaller groups so we can all hang out while they work on our cars.

Hours: Tues-Fri 10-7 Saturday 10-5

i'll do the smaller groups as i'm at a wedding this weekend and the next weekend i'll be at summit so:

Saturday November 8th, 2003?

Ok so 10% off would be about:

$152 for sedan

I would say we could try to negotiate maybe a 15% discount; say we are considering other shops ;)

i'd be going for the 3m tint as that is much better and will last longer...we all know the film does not cost anywhere near $100 more than normal tint..there should be a greater discount on the 3m tint

Lisa, can we get the tint in Cali Tint for 170? If we were to go to Winners Window Tint, I'd want the 3m, but not willing to pay 100 more. 10% isn't much if you paying over 269 for tints.

Andrew

so what's the story?...let's create a new thread and do a poll for which places we'll consider (or both) and get a hard count of people interested

I'm thinking about Winners because they do the cool computer cut out thing..

most tint shops uses computer tint cutouts.

Long as the tint is 100% metallic and is life time warrenty i dont care. i'm getting mine done at winners next sunday
