TINT? where and how much?

THANK YOU for the replies... i actually live in the suburbs, Des Plaines to be exact. 63rd is little far.
well, aside from the price.. since i could make up about $30 difference for gas and the trouble of the far trip... i heard from someone that quality of tint varies depending on where you get it.
is that true? if so, what are some pointers that i need to look out for?
PLUS. how much % of tint would look good on silver? (can't be too dark since iam planning on tinting the front two the same as the back)

i was actually thinking about 30% or at the darkest 20% since iam tinting the front too and i want to avoid getting pulled over every week ya know.. and i think light tint looks good with silver cars.

i could actually go get it tint with "auroral illusion" from his friend for $160 but then it's a far drive from my house..

i called random places off the phonebook and the cheapest was $200. they told me they use sun gaurd film.. is that a decent brand?

(mswerd) i would definitely do no more or less than 30-35% all around. this percentage wont get too much attention from the cops and it doesnt have that ghetto fabulous look to it. i highly recommend doing the same all around just because it looks much better than a 2-tone tint job (front/back).

we got our cars tinted yesterday. I hope this isn't ruining it cause maybe he wanted to surprise someone? lol, i dunno.. anyways, Aaron (jlcartoon) got his at 35% and I got mine at 20% all around. and of course, I have pictures..

edit: by the way, it was 180 bucks.

I got 35% from local guy that did it in his garage w/ 3M film for $185. I checked around and got quotes as high as $250. I would go with 20% if i could do it again b/c the 35% is not that much darker than the state legal 50%. Sounds like $200 is about avg for our cars (9 windows).
