Mazda Mx6 FSZE
Hey i am new to the forums but not to mechanics, i built my fs-de with fs-ze internals, over bored pistons, j-spec cams, the whole 9 i got 10k+ in the block alone. when i crnak th ecar over it does not start, it motors but wont completly fire over. the crank is TDC so are the cams, now i have the j spec cam and i believe it was the potege 3 cam, in it do i need to advance or retard the timing? when i trys to turn over it shoots balls of fire out the exhaust ( granted there is some fuel from trying to start it) but it does not want to fire up we have tried every thing we can thing of, ignition timing, cam timing, crank timing chased wires to ensure we had spark and all that stuff. i am at wits end and my distro blew agian, it is brand new but the ohms were to high on the test. so the real thing i am worried about is the timing thats what it seems to be (at least to us).
basic answers before you ask yes there is gas in it. so some advidce would be greatly appreciated.

I have a JET CHIP computer and i was afraid that it mad had fried it self durig the initail issue i had (Before mods) when i plugged in a junk yard ecu to the car it popped a fuse that we were unaware of, plus the timintg marks on the distributor were 180 out so it was firing on the at 4213 instead of 1342 like is was suppost to be. after we spent about 4o hours in the freezin cold chasing wires we ere hunched ove rthe enigne bay and seen the lil 30 watt fuse was popped. so swpaped it out, changed the distro to correct timing, and it cranked right up. with a little tweeking she was purring like a lion!!!! ;). the oil pump was not sending oils so we also had to inspect that again but its all good now. i got my sway bar links in yesterday and ready to drop it in and drive around the block. hopefully by saturday after noon.

so iv resolved it, but i cant get it into the normal ignition timing range, i posted this issue as well on its own topic.
i set it to tdc, and 12 deg btdc ignition timing, but the distro limits are advanced when i try to center it, it dies when i jump a gear on the distro either way it moves the timing way off, i cant get it to get into the correct range, so my question is, i heard there is a way to jump the reader port in the engine bay to reset the electronic timing, does anyone know what terminals to jump, or if this is true at all.
