The other day My 2005 6 2.3 started making a rattle from the ps side of the engine at low RPM, at high RPM is seems to be less noticable.
The idle has not been effected, and the car does not feel any differently at all, but I am wanting to address the issue before it becomes one.
I believe it is coming from the timing chain area, and mechanic friend of mine feels the same. The car has 81,000 miles one it. I have been reading on the forums about people having issues with the guides and the tensioners.
At 80,000 miles, would the most likely cause be the Chain, tensioner, or guides? Just looking for a little input before I go pulling everything apart.
