So em and my dad changed my timing belt, accessory belts, water pump, and tensioner spring yesterday. And now my car runs like complete asshole. I checked and double checked everything as i put it back on including the timing marks. The car runs like its out of time and is not throwing any codes. Anybody have any idea wth is going on?

yeah and the cam timing marks lined up but during the course of the belt change with the belt off i turned the crank so even though the cams were on time the crank was off.

That'll do it. my first try, I had no manual so i put on the tensioner spring first, and stretched it when putting the belt on.

Glad to see you got it figured out, it's good to see that you guys are able to do most of the work on your own cars.

it helps that i was a techinician at honda for a year and a half and ive been helping my dad restore a 69 camaro z28 over the last 4 years so i have a pretty exstensive set of tools and a 3 car garage to work in at my parents house.

Ok so we made sure the timing was on and everything was where it was supposed to be and now the car wont start at all, wtf mate. Its getting fuel, spark, and air but it still wont start.

When you are cranking the engine, Does the Water Temp needle move? If it goes up, you blew a 15 amp fuse in the interior fuse compartment.

Did you accidently move the Crank Position sensor?

Ya, look under the hood, and check your IGN fuse (unless you get spark) but that was my prob. It's a big square one with a clear top IIRC.

I removed the crankshaft posistion sensor when i removed the pulley because the protege shop manual says so, as far as i can see it only goes in one way so theres no adjustments. am i incorrect?
