After looking around at all of the different brands and whatnot.....I went ahead and ordered Hawk Ceramics...I will get them on probably next weekend and I will let you guys know how they are....I saw them at tirerack and was surprised because i didn't even know they existed for the MS6...didn't see them at protege garage or rpmstore.

thats a fair price. i had ceramics once. they were really dusty. but worked great. do you do any track stuff. or just street?

I just do street driving.....no track time......I have heard from everywhere that ceramics have very little dust........am I wrong?

yeah, ceramic is gonna be lower dust, but more potential for noise and less stopping power before warmed up.

I guess I always figured it worked like this......initial bite is on the same scale as dust and noise.....the more initial bite...the more potential for noise and dust such as tracking pads at low speeds that is.....the less initial bite has less dust and less noise such as ceramics....so you kind of trade off initial bite for the other two.

Well I am happy to report the ceramic Hawks are amazing! Definitely an improvement over stock pads. Definitely had my fingers crossed as this is my first time doing my own brakes ever. Pads are super quiet and no squeeking just bites! I definitely would recommend them...I will watch for amounts of dust reduction when I get my car and wheels washed.
