Hey guys, I really need some help. I just bought a set of 18 inch quantom tek s-10 rims. I have my p5 lowerd on tien springs. I dont know on weather to get 35s or 40 tires. Could you guys let me know which one is better? Or if i would have any rubbing issues? Or if anyone in this forum has tien springs and 18 inch rims. THanks guys.

18x7.5 with 215/35 is the largest you'll want to get. Also, it will depend on offset whether you will rub or not.

you guys are wrong, why do you think the biggest you can run is a 35 profile?

We've (autornd) been runing 40 profiles on our proteges w/ 18's for around a year now w/ no issues.

Im dropped 2" on spool springs, and have been running 215/40/18's since June w/ no rubbing issues. Sure your speedo will be off (very)slightly, but the improvement in ride quality over the 35 profiles is worth that.

Its all about having the proper ofset

215/40/17; 215/35/18
-------------
7.0" +45 and higher
7.5" +48 and higher

+42 might rub with an agressive drop.
