Thunder header or TSUDO ?

Ill check it out, thanks guys

Monday Ill also have a better look at the headers and Ill try to buy a fouler today to get.

There are alot of questions with the wirering trick, I think the fouler apears MUCH more simple.

ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!

So I finally got the Headers & All is well!!!!

Unfortunatly my friend with the new bourn still has the Digicam, but it dont matter.

I measured the pipes and have all the dimentions requested

Inlet Pipes (4 pipes comming directly from the block)
Height 1" & 1/4
Width 1" & 3/4

Exit pipe is 2"

It's all set up for 1 EGR & 2 o2 sensors.

Im waiting on a buddy of mine and we are going to put it in tonight (Whoohoo)

Im going to deal with the CEL later this week when I have a chance to pick up a non-fouler and my buddies clamp.

I spent a good 30min cleaning them with Gunk to make sure they are free of any fingerprints and there was alot of crap in the pipes. They are all shinny now (ughdance)

Sweet let us know how the fit is.

No problem (ughdance) (ughdance) (ughdance)

How well do they match to the exit ports and how do they compare to OBX, AWR, ect?

Im sure most all the headers are this size since they use the stock donut and bolt up to the stock midpipe.

Make sure you clean the header with alcohol, windex anything once installed but before you start up the engine. Clean it well.

As for the non-fouler its really used for spark plugs. So if you ask any auto shop for a "Spark plug non-fouler" for a 18mm spark plug they will show you where they are. You can get them at Canadian Tire I think. If they still don't know what it is explain to them you need something that protects the spark plugs from being fouled by oil hence non-foulers. Make sure you get the 18mm ones and you need two.

Here is some info:

Hope this helps.

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So The b**** went in BUT there is a issue.

The EGR Valve Doesnt line up to the header, ARRRRRRRRR!!!!!

So I left them in and tried to use some muffler tape to block the EGR valve from leeking exhaust, but thats a no go as one trip arround the block F-ed that plan.

So My solution (For now, Im going to have to bring her some place to figure out what can be done) Is to go to a plumber shop tomorow and get something to cap off the EGR valve as Im 100% BROKE untill next week tuesday.

Anybody know how big the thread is?????

Any sugestions??

Other then the EGR Valve it fits fine.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you try to bolt the egr pipe up b4 you bolted it to the head?? Did it fit up fine to the midpipe then seem to be in the same spot as the stock manifold?

Yeah, we first bolted her all up and it didnt go, so we then unbolted everything and tried to figit it in, but that wouldnt go eithor.

ARGH!!!! I know its going to work if its blocked off, I need a way to block it (Id like to play a bit tonight)

The coper pipe for the EGR valve is Tough even when we unbolted it from the block it wouldnt move enough.

The people who have bought the tsudo have said the only way to get the header on is to bolt the EGR pipe to the header first then force the header to the head slowly by screwing in the bolts to the head. Then I believe you are suppose to attach the exhaust end.

Did you follow this order?

Yup, but no matter how we positioned the headers it wouldnt come close to getting on

I figure Ill get a Cap for it tomorow and let the Garage figure something out when I get the motor mounts installed next week.

I need to know the thread size to Block it up.

did you take any pictures?

As for the thread size well there are people who changed the pipe to some bbq pipping when they put in the 626 intake manifold they would know the size.

Thanks, I figure the best bet will be to have the coper pipe that comes from the header (EGR Pipe) removed and bent into a shape that will mate with the header.

For now I stuffed a bolt in there and taped it up with aluminum exhaust tape, I also taped up the open end of the coper EGR pipe. I ran the car for a few min to warm up the tape so it bonds better and Ill check it out tomorow mourning.

Ill have Pics tomorow, Dont laugh at my Getto repair, I dont know what else to do.

lol So My last tape Job didnt last eithor, 1 trip arround the block and it was finished.

So I flew over to a Plumber Store and picked up a pipe cap and I grabbed the size by eye, and got the right one on the first try.

I tossed her on & All is well (Still got tape on the open end of the EGR pipe)
