Thunder header or TSUDO ?

I got tsudo for about 2 months and it's fine
no problems. except the cell. but fixed using the o2 trick :-)

What is this-here O2 trick that keeps getting mentioned? I do not know of such trick... Someone help and explain?

Jeff--are you serious or just kidding around??? I will assume you do know but
just in case you don't (and for anyone else)...two spark plug anti-foulers.
18mm iirc (it's been a while).
Drill through the bottom of one (open the hole all the way). Screw the drilled one into the un-drilled one. Screw them both into the 2nd O2 bung and the
then the O2 sensor into the anti-foulers.
Voila...no CEL.

Haha, yeah believe it or not, its one of the few things regarding that blasted motor that I didn't know about! lol. I'm about to purchase one of the OBX headers, probably tomorrow, and should probably know what other mods I have to do during the install.

You know if you buy a Thunder header you won't have to mess with a CEL fix!

But dont you have to pay quite a bit more?

And the CEL fix isnt that hard right?

Yeah, I would buy the thunder-beast but $$ is the big problem... Unless a special someone can get me a deal to match the OBX cost... (spin)

Yes, the Thunder is more expensive...but you also get a lifetime warranty against defects or cracked welds.

It is an easy fix and a waranty doesn't matter much when the OBX and Tsudo are built pretty well.

The welds on my Tsudo look great. I have put over 60K miles on it with no problems what so ever.

worth the extra money, the emblem fell off mine and he wanted to replace it for me, but i felt it was no big deal. well worth the money and great service.

i know this is an old thread, but instead of starting a new one, I think i should ask here.
How is the quality of tusdo header compare to obx? The pics of tsudo and obx look exactly the same but tsudo is cheaper for some reasons, which makes me a little worry about their quality and reliability.
Anyone here has the tsudo for a long time that can give me some feedbacks for this header

I have a tsudo header..its used so its been running for a long time but not on my car exactly. The fitment is the same as obx and everything else is pretty much identical. The CEL fix also works just as well.

oh really? i looked up picture of them and they do have a pretty unique design, but what about the performance gains? is it better or comparable to the obx header? because if they are really close then ill just buy an obx of ebay for like 99 bucks lol yes im cheap

I assume the performance gain is the same as obx..the only different gains in header designs can be felt with the awr which my friend selled just recently, because they have a different design 4-2-1. Other than that custom headers would give you the biggest gain.

Better custom headers.

The Thunder Headers are okay for a mild build-up, probably give you about 5-8 horsepower simply because it removes the primary cat, but once you start playing with the size of your pipes, it starts to become a restriction in terms of torque lost at low rpms due to the really short primaries. I guess it would be great on an engine that can rev to 7000+ rpm (with just regular IHE with the Thunder, the power was still going up by redline) but on a street driver, you want some meat lower in the power band.

The OBX looks like it's longer than the Thunders, but it's still shorter than I'd like. I've just changed to some long-a$$ 4-2-1s from a short 4-1 header and the difference is like night and day.
