Ok so here is what's goin on I was driving and put it in 4th and jumped on it herd a loud crack and now my clutch feels weird, when I push it in at the top the first 4 inches or so I feel a stutter I can feel the vibrations from something spinning but the clutch does not slip and there is so whining bearing noise anyone have any ideas ? Also once the clutch is all the way in not stutter or vibrations its just for that little bit , doest grind or shift hard at all .
Thanks

Hmm could be a spring, Not sure tho, Sorry, all I know is my TOB has been making noise since 8900 miles, NO at 10k :(..

Yeah I am not sure my self the clutch pedel does have slot of play in it but if it's anything. Internal while I am there and split the tranny from the motor I might as well just do the clutch

Wait so you are feeling a vibration in the clutch now? If this happened after you got on it.. then you could have had crankwalk... I would go back to stock soon as usually this leads to a blown motor.

Sounds like someone previously owned a DSM...

If i push the clutch fast it does not do it only when I granny shift

Well that's your problem your granny shifting not double clutching like you should!.......Sorry.

Sounds like you could have a bad throw out bearing. Witch means you would have to pull the trans to fix.

i have the same problem:) i toke it to the dealership and they told me its my pilot release bearing on the clutch :) about 1300 bucks to fix :(

Well it looks like it's time to drop the tranny and do the clutch thanks for all the help guys

Hi Moll, had the same twice! 2 years ago. Not like I drive it like a crazy, but that was because of 2 broken tranny mounts, which forced engine to bend a little and clutch cover and release bearing were feeling bad nonuniform stress and overheated fast. The interesting point is that it's not dealership who found broken mounts are the reason, but me myself with my friend. So if you have such a problem now - inspect all your mounts and brackets as well!
Yeah, the real problem is that the whole tranny has to be disassembled for one small release bearing (notcool)
