I have read a lot of post about the Kia Rondo vs Mazda 5. Most post are biased toward whatever vehicle the poster owns.
I flew to Detroit yesterday for a day trip to visit the North American International Autoshow. While walking around I stopped by and checked out the Rondo. It was a nice vehicle. I felt the interior felt and looked cheaper than the 5 (there is my bias).
One thing that really surprised me was the lack of foot room in the Rondo. I wear size 14 shoes and have no problem in my 5 (I have an automatic). In the Rondo my left foot had no where to rest. The 5 has a true dead pedal. The Rondo foot area is smaller and the left foot area has a huge obstruction where the dead pedal would go.
Below is a shot of my feet in the Rondo. The seat is all the way back. My foot is wedged down there at an angle. Not comfy.
So for anyone comparing the Rondo to the 5....those with big feet need not apply.
