This horn is p!$$ing me off!!!!!

Something is wrong with the horn, its very sickly sounding has anyone else had their horn sound sick and how did you fix it?

i think your gonna need to be very much more in depth than that, by the way the horn is crap to begin with so maybe your horn is fine.

I like the stock horn.. it's a piercing sound, a lot better at getting people's attention than most domestic car horns. It defintely doesn't normally sound sickly though, somethin must be up. Either it is rusted to crap or the electrical connection is damaged.

If you remove your front grille it's right behind it to the left of the hood latch, can't miss it. The two big screws on either side of the top of the grille and then the two pop clips that hold the grille to the radiator support are all you have to remove, then pull the grille out (toward you) and then up to remove it.. or up then out.. just wiggle it around it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

hehe just put in another horn and u'll be set to go. when i almost got into 2 accidents the other day, i certainly got their damn attention..>< i hate fucken racers..i almost got my driver's side ripped off from a damn civic that was racing a dakota truck >< and also by a saturn. i'm a bit pissed but putting in another horn is good xD

I was born the son of a Toyota salesman. Ive been around foreign horns my whole life trust me something is wrong. Btw how would you get deeper into this issue. I push horn, horn sounds sick, not funny as in haha that sounds like a girly horn, but sick as in, sounds like its shorting out? No popping/hissing or anything just when the horn honks,alarm goes off,or you just press the horn button its not right. kura just stay in front of those racers the cant hit what they cant catch! lol

I agree with you Kansei, the horn sounds kind of stupid, like it's from a scooter, but the timbre is pretty loud and piercing. It's better than those horns that sound like you're playing a piano chord.

i'd check what every1 said to check cause when i popped my grille off, i noticed that nut was a little loose. hehe foreign horns in japan sound even funkier lol.its like a weird high pitch sound xD if its not the nut, just go to a local auto store and get a new one. some are so nice that they tell u everything u need and directions on how to crimp. lol my moms 4runner has 2 horns and my dads monte carlo ss has this wicked loud horn that kinda sounds like a fog horn.( he used to be an officer so he put it in)<-love the sound but i think its illegal lol. we're horn-y people LMAO

I just bought a loud low-tone horn and installed it along with the stock high pitch horn. It's actually effective now.
