Zray said:It could create more clutter if they treat it the same as the other forums; my advice would be to have the Mazdaspeed forum list the same as it currently does on the main page, and when you click on the forum link it opens a sub-section with the different sub-categories. That would keep the main page from being too cluttered, and make the sub pages fully accessible when inside the Mazdaspeed section. The only reason things are so scattered right now is because instead of going to the general Performance Forum for lets say turbo upgrades, the members know that they are more likely to get an answer here...
I'd be interesting in seeing any hard data supporting your sever speed issue you've raised... condensing the information into a sub section as I've listed should only serve to "lighten the load" so to speak. Especially if it reduces the number of duplicate posts.

Wouldn't creating identical but separate sections for the MSP and P5/Sedan forum create even more double posting? I just don't understand why we should make more of the same sections that we already have. While we are at it should we split the P5 forum into its own sub-sections and then make LX/DX/ES forums with the same sub-sections?
It comes down to people using the search button and people posting where they're supposed to. And if they don't, mods should be there to move threads. (Not saying the mods aren't doing their job.)
P.S. The server "speed issue" was more to illustrate a point than really an issue/ Technically, the server has to create and store more database records (new sub-sections) and technically, it makes the database bigger. So technically, the server should be slower due to the larger amount of information to process.
Technically. I doubt it'd make a noticeable difference. Oh nos, my spamz0rs loads in 0.27546 seconds now, instead of 0.27438 seconds. REFUND!111#
