Ok, weird thread, I know. But I just wanted to say thanks to everyone so far. I always took this forum for granted, but recently my older brother bought a scion tc and asked me to learn some stuff about it for him, so I joined a tc forum. It sucks. I asked some questions and basically got made fun of. Everyone on that forum is almost trying to compete with one another instead of working together. you guys are great

This forum is great, except for assholes like myself who tell people to search. You really can learn alot from the guys on here. The only side effect is that you see so much cool stuff that you always can find something to spend your money on.

I've also been on other forums (Mazda3, CK5, etc) and it seems that every single thread degenerates into a pissing match. Since Antoine saw fit to make me a mod, I'm not going to let that happen here. We can all get along. Sometimes it just takes a little guidance. (thumb)

Well put goldwing. I just love that we all are so friendly with each other (most of the time) and share info. It seemed like the tc forum people were almost trying to give you false info just so their car could be cooler than yours. They suck

I have to agree with TPHSKAB, i have been on alot of boards and this is one of the few that has personality. Most sites are simply for the use of sales, not this one. From what it looks like all the good boards have an Off Topic Section, seems to be a favorite.

I don't believe it. If it was really that efficient it would have been used before now. There's no way that it's been around for 50 years making 500 lb/ft from .4 liters and no one has taken it into development/production.

Ummm... the 500 ft/lbs isn't from .4 liters. It's from the 400 cubic inch version, which is about 6.6L. And that's only an estimate. It never ran a real test and no one knows the actual power it made based on interviews with Melvin Vaux in 2001.
