this concerns anyone with a msp

Does anyone have an idea if it would be unsafe to run higher boost with this new and improved flash coming out? Just curious.

Get us the news we need Boost! A perfectly working ECU (dare I even dream that it eliminates the fuel cut) sure would be sweet, not to mention it upping the value of our cars.

Don't forget to mention to your contacts what good PR this would *instantly* spread about Mazda if they do it.
Theres no way theyd eliminate the fuel cut. Its annoying, but its there as a margin of safety to protect the motor and drivetrain from too much par.
It sucks they used the MAF voltage signal instead of a pressure sensor like on old rx7s turbo II's. Rx7s have no fuel cut issues in cold weather, but are limited to 8psi by a pressure sensor. Makes it easier to fix, but you cant turn up the boost without a defenser.

And I bet mazda will come out with another flash. BMW is on its 6th or 7th PCM flash for hesitation with the Mini Cooper S.
I doubt i'll get this one either, but hey, for all the stock people out there, its a good thing.

Theres no way to know until when and if they release a new PCM flash.

my opininion is that mazda is not going to make another flash unless we start complaining and bitching again. The car still stumbles after the flash, but how many have complained actually gone to the dealer and complained about it or has there been a new petition to mazda explaining the problems that owners still have with it and the disatisfaction as a community of the quality of fix or anything like that? If no one does that and if I was running mazda then I would leave it alone. I like the increase in performance stock with the flash but would rather have had a better fix giving us a smooth power delivery without stumbles, excess carbon all over the back of my car, and gas wasteage.

Another Flash, we can hope. Like many, mine still hesitates after the first. I, we, can only hope for the best. If not, then drop the disco potatoe on and have fun.

hehe!! mine probably won't have a clue about it!!!! He'll say: 'you don't need that!' (notcool)
which dealership are you talking about ? I bought mine from Albi

I can almost guarantee that there is no new fuel map in the works. Its not that easy or cheap for a car maker to get a new ecu for approval. First mazda has to spend money to create a fuel map, then it has to spend money to get it federal approval for emissions. This could cost a car maker millions of dollars. I'm pretty sure that mazda will not spend the money to do so since mazdaspeed with a low production car and the motor is no longer in production.

We're just screwed with what we got.

Mo tou;

Thing is they're probably not aware of it... Unless you talk to Andr or Dan...maybe

hmmm..... It would be nice if it's true, but I am gonna sit here with a very skeptical eye.

And yes, my car still drives like ass after the flash. It was great at first but given time the crappy performance and stumbling, is back.
