2011 Mazda 3 Hatchback
Hey wassup guys, just got my Mazda 3 few days and already have a bunch of ideas lol. Ok so here's my little custom mod idea, the vents above the fog lights is closed off and it has a grill on it. Is there a way where we could make that open? It would look hot plus allow more air into the engine.

If you have an AT one is open because the tranny cooler is behind it. Can't remember which side it is.

I have an AT 2011 and both are closed, but I purchased a drivers side front fog light trim piece with the holes open to allow air to pass into the engine bay. This inlet is right under my SRI so it gives a ram air effect, diretly behind the vent in my car is just a metal wheel well housing at a diagonal which will direct some air upwards. I may install a fine screen behind it to keep dirt out of the engine bay, and on my car the transmission cooler is eith relocated to the radiator or just not there, I'm going to put another one in there to increase the life of my transmission. There is no factory part for the passenger side with the vent holes. I got mine from onlinemazdaparts.com
