thinking of going catless

I have a catless midpipe with a $5 non-fouler and never got a CEL. Loved the power increase as well

Yeah I have a cork sport cat-less exhaust and I love it. Sounds great, is kinda loud in car. But it was worth it for me.

defouler will work fine with no cats...just be aware there is a FEDERAL mandate that prohibits any car in the US to be driven on public roads without catalysts...and the fine is pretty outrageous if you get caught and they are able to prove it was intentionally done by you...so just saying; doesn't matter if your area has no emissions testing...its still illegal...

because of that i would highly suggest returning the cat for any type of inspections your area requires...regardless of if its emissions related or not...the wrong dude sees it without a cat and it'll suck...
Its Canada. Ontario. 500 bucks, non-moving violation for bypassing emmissions equipment. Claim ignorance and its prolly a warning first couple times.also so long as it doesnt throw a CEL it should pass emmissions with our new laws. However if its a dick cop he can pull your plates on the spot. I say run a hi-flow or gutted cat(not stock, one hi-flow gutted instead of two tiny stock).
The best gains are obviously from an improved header. I did mine waaaay back with stock cats n pipes. 12hp 15ft/lbs and alot throatier. Growled. Then i wen three inch turbo back magnaflow hiflo cat n straight through race muffler 4inch tip. Loud as ****. Got four warnings and one ticket for 150 illegal muffler. Loweredmy car and now you cant see into the pipe....1.5years without another pullover.passes emmissions, fullybuilt block Gt28 big injectors and no monkey business. Legit pass. Im worried the new emmission rules will detect my unichip...could be an issue now.
Really its less to worry about if you keep it legal. Dont give the man a reason to **** with you, man.

get a weld-in cutout and put it before the cat. the electronic ones are tits. then you have no restrictions from any nuisances like cats, mufflers, resonators, skinny pipes, bends, or anything.

and if someone asks, im pretty sure you can say you track the car and would never think of opening it on a public road.
