Thinking of getting HID

:
Mazda 6s
ok guys i really need ur input... i've been contemplating to get a HID ket for my 6... there are alot of sales w/ 8000k HID kits... i have been looking at the JDM Hid kit... the x.performance HID kit...or the X5 HID kit

all are at 8000k... im leaning towards the X5's because they are the only ones that passed the SAE..or so it says...and its supposedly being DOT approved... read sum stuff bout CA banning HID's if they dont one of these tests... so thats a big point for me... i want ur guys' input..thanks alot

as long as you align them properly they would look factory and not alert the Local L.E. crowd

I have no clue about the differences - but I know tireswap/liteswap is finally selling the awesome CATZ HIUDs again. I've seen them on 6's, and they look incredible!

Can't afford them for a year, though - but when I get HIDs, these are the ones!

What is the point of HID's in the end. Soo much money wasted for what? A fancy looking illumination? I rather spend the money on other stuff.

Better night illumination. Thats bout it. People spend lots of money on aftermarket lights, trying to improve the look and illumination, but really the only way is with HID's.

There's a pretty big difference between halogens and HID's, especially in low light conditions. HID's provide much more light, of greater clariety, which provides additional safety if you do alot of nighttime or early morning driving. (Talking about the 4000-5000K range...once you get into the 5000K+ lights, your sacrificing illumination for looks)

Then of course most people don't get them for that...they get it for the blingathon look, which is omnipresent if you've got them, and instantly recogniziable.

Plus all the 6 owners are pissed the 3 and 8's get them stock. :)

Coming from someone who has seen multiple 6's parked together, with lights on - and some with HIDs, some without - take my word for it. The difference in extent and quality of illumniation is mind-boggling. For 3-400 or so for the CATZ HIDs (I may be wrong) - they may be the second best safety upgrade possible for our car (after tires, of course)

yep as long as you align them they are the safest things you could buy....just don't be one of the stupid fawkin people here who beleve getting blue bulbs and driving around with hi beams is the same exact thing......
