Thinking it's time to move on...

if you get rid of it, can i have the pinstripe it will go great with my wheels. =) i say keep it

my pinstripes are looking soo bad.. but i still got em. lol.. im about to hit 78k on mine. and i still love it.

but i say keep it untill u can see a car and absolutely crap yourself and say holy jebus i must have it. then buy, as long as u can afford it. dont buy just to get a new one. cause if ur not 100% happy with it, you will have regret

If I bought a car today, it would be hard NOT to pick me up one of these.

its not a replacement for the tiburon, and its called the Coupe in korea too.

Hyundai is making some sexy looking, and by all accounts well built, cars these days.

Keep the protege, with that little mileage you should get many more years of fairly trouble free use out of it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the car will hold up in a year or two. The car's paid off (actually, the dealer wrote me a check for 1,299 when I bought it). I guess I'm kinda getting tired of the car, but kinda not at the same time...
a year or two? with the miles your putting on it it should last another 20 yrs...but seriously, if your tired of it and want something new it doesn't matter how many miles it will last...maybe keep it for a year or so and save up some more cash??

i agree with bazooka joe. if you have the money, i dont see what is wrong with changing your car for something better. I dont see why everybody say keep it because it has low mileage. I dont think its a matter of how many miles it has on it but the fact that he owned it for 8 years and it may be time to get somehing else, have something new in his life aha. I dont know what is your budget but...STI ftw.

thats the genesis correct ?

yeah its teh genesis coupe. However its not the same relationship as say the Infiniti G coupe and G sedan.

The genesis sedan and coupe really just share the genesis name. Its a little bit confusing. But what other car can you get brembos, Torsen LSD, a 2.0T and rwd drive for around 25k?

when the car really starts hitting the US market, its going to sell great. It competes on so many levels. If i could afford one, i could get one with an employee discount, but alas, my heart remains true to mazda =P

Thanks for the opinions! I might just wait a year or two. Perhaps by then, Mazda will have made the 3 even more desireable. Or I'll pick up a Mazdaspeed 3 :)

I say keep it & get something else to satisfy your craving like I did. Now the car rests peacefully in the garage waiting for good weather. Have driven it 77 miles since Jan 14th because of this.(paid cash so no payment). New mod session in progress, lol........................

The cure for 'car malaise' is to....

MOD IT! Spend half the money you would for a new car and make her faster, new paint, whatever suddenly makes you go yeah....

I'm holding out for the new Mazda2 to come to the US. The 3 is nice, but a little bigger than I like.
