Thinking about trading

My buddy @ Mazda here locally got a titanium grey 5DR, stick, w/ 6CD, moonroof, ABS/side SRS. Identical to mine but w/ the stick, ABS package. Mine has 4500 miles on it as of today. The toss up is the stick and the ABS. I currently live in Erie, Pa and we get lots of snow. I am really loving the white though. My payments would raise about 25.00/mo. Any input?

I'd like to trade mine for a stick also. I didn't want this to be the car my wife learned stick on since it was our first new car and all, but now at times now I'm thinking what the hell I should have went with it anyway. I'd want to go with the same color I have or orange. I don't want to change enough to make my payment more though.

So yours right now does not have abs package? I could justify paying more if I was getting that too (if I was w/out it). After seeing a big dateline report on sedan side impacts comparing cars w/ vs. w/out side air bags I think they are worth every penny. Sure, some accidents they won't make a difference but in the cases they do I'd really want to have them.

My question is how are you trading and only adding 25.00 on to your payment. The dealership is not going to trade you straight up on the cars because now yours is used so theres no way that it would only be 25 more a month. You have to be somewhat upside down on the one you are driving now.

He said his buddy worked there and that always has some pull. And 25$ more an month is an acceptable price raise. I live in northern new jersey where we also get alot of snow, plus bad roads and alot of deer. ABS alone will pay for itself in the snow, stick in snow could be good if you know how to utilize its benifits, and side impact airbags are #1 with safety....I would go for it. Whites nice but ive always been a dark colored lover (hump) I hope thats helped....

...guys, I agree 100%. That is why I am now considering this. Last march 3, I bought the car. We got snow in April and I was coming to an intersection the had a small grade to it and when I tapped the brake, well let's just say I stopped just in time but I was sideways at the line. That was no good. I have kids and that is just not acceptable. That and the side SRS is worth every bit of it's price. I made a "quick" descision last spring. I know this as does my "buddy." That is why he is willing to help me now. Yea the payment will go up, but I think it's worth it. Know if I could just convine the wife...

The abs/sab safety factors maybe could help you convince your wife. Good luck, though I was kinda disapointed to hear this because I was hoping you'd be letting me know how things go with getting either of those intakes that are supposed to fit with this auto. Oh well maybe I'll need to be the guinea pig.

I am still getting the intake, just gonna switch cars. I'll put the resonator back on the white one and if/when I get the grey one put it on that one. ptuning has the Injen. K&N is still gonna be a few months I believe.

I didn't think of putting the resonator back on...that is gonna suck (notcool)
