Thinking about selling... ;-(

I hate to agree with Razor for once in my life (*grin*) but there are 5 2003 MSP's here in Austin at 15,995. Believe it or not..

don't get an ITR... it will get stolen....

GSX are FUN. AWD+Turbo=5K Launches
then you can get a L2R turbo and be running in the 12's :)

i guess i need to try to find the ad advertising them for 15995 in the paper, or you could do a search on the forum and find out for yourself.

Try calling up the dealer that put that ad. I bet you it is complete :bs:

you can get one for 16000 out the door...you just need to know the right people...i got my dx for just over 10...and that is about 3000 off of what he first offered me...good thing i know people :)

I almost bought a '99 Eclipse Conv. GS-T(FWD) for $4,800(mom didn't buy it but i got to drive it for abot a week). It had low miles and was in mint condition with about 36,000mi. It is amazing at how cheap those cars go for.

there's were I bought mine!! No BS!!! I really don't care if people don't belive it!!

Yes, you can get a new MSP for $15995 +TTL at any of the 4 Austin, TX area dealerships. They have plenty.

Spooled, I'm betting you owe more than the car is worth. Have you considered refinancing? Interest rates are still great - mid 3's to low 4's.

I am glad I waited to buy my MSP. 1 year ago they would not negotiate on the price and there were NO rabates.
"Good things happen to those who wait"

Car prices like everything else, depend on where you live....I still haven't seen a MSP for under 20k here in Cali...

Up here in the Bay Area, there are several dealers selling MSPs for less than 20K. They are talking invoice, less the rebate and my college grad discount :D

Will be getting one in a few weeks

"how much did you buy your car for to be paying $400/mo? I
bought mine for $16000 and pay only $250/mo"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

^^I hate you :D j/k

I am talking to my bank and I'm going to see if they'll let me roll the loss that I take on it into a loan for another car. Even with that I will be cutting my payments in half! I'm just glad I have such good credit...

sucks to hear your selling the msp, but a house is definaetly worth it. id put my vote behind the eclipse, great little cars and tons of aftermarket support.

Thanks for the support!

I would go with a 91 240 SX. That year is when they started the DOHC engine. They also had more aggressive cams than any other 240 made. I bought my 92 240 for 1500 out the door. The body was in perfect conditon, interior was perfect, had about 150K miles on it, the only thing wrong with it was that it needed a new timing chain.
So I am going to buy the SR20 motor. Which stock puts out about 205Hp and 200lbs of torque. Motor wise you have a couple of options, the famous SR20DET,(Red top, Black Top, and the limited Blue top) or the RB25DET the base skyline motor. Or dare i say it the Godzilla of all import motors the RB26DETT the top of the line Skyline motor. Inline 6, twin turbo.
Word has it, that somebody put the RB26DETT in a S13(91-93 240) and with only a FMIC, BOV and Slicks they ran a 11.3!!!!
240's have so much potential. But its your call.

Well, I am looking at buying a house and I need some extra cash. I decided that $400/mo for a car is not going to help me right now. I am trying to decide what to do, though. I was looking at a '98 Eclipse GSX for a great price, and possibly an Integra Type-R. I want a car that will have great potential for modding since I will have a garage soon!

I would like to hear some opinions on cars that would be good to look for. I want something that I can find under $10,000 used. I'm not looking for a mint-condition gem, just something that has no nody rust and a strong engine. I am rather partial to AWD or RWD, and turbo is a major plus!

I took my Speed out for a drive tonight hunting for used cars, but I ended up hitting the twisties. MAN I WANT TO KEEP IT! Anyone want to donate monthly towards my car payment? Ha. (I'm really crying on the inside):'(

lol 400/per month aint s*** try 485.. i believe i have the highest payment on this site.
