Thinking about buying a used MS3

I wanted one since it came out but i have been hearing from friends and stuff that you only get full power to like 5500 rpm and thats when ur suppose to shift instead of at the redline. That true?

Pretty much. Boost tapers off in the upper rpms, but there's a ton of power down low. Also take a look around these forums and re-evaluate if you'd really like to buy something owned by some of these people. haha.

It is depending on which gear you're in actually, but yes, you have to shift in the 5500-5800 rpm range if you're not modded. With my few mods my car has, it seems to pull to about 6100 now.

All right, cool thanks and way I think about it if i had the car i would of beat on it, and if i do get i am still gonna beat on so w/e, plus got the warranty still so hopefully i will be good

Just did some testing today on the Speed, it pulls to 6500 in 1st and 2nd, 6200 in 3rd and 4th. Test pipe + intake + synthetics.
