Think MP3 died this weekend

I was driving down in Mobile, AL. I'm from California. I was going through a tunnel, so pulling over wasn't an option. I had car problems previously but "Quality Mazda" said they thought I just had gotten some "Bad Gas" and that I should just "Keep driving and when it misfires just give it some more gas, it will blow it out." There was some white smoke at this time.

So car breaks down on the highway in Mobile for Mardi Gras. I lost a lot of horse power and car sounded horrible, but no loud knocking. I pulled over there was black liquid coming from the muffler and another driver said there were a lot of sparks coming out from the car. I opened the hood and the headers were they bend to go back seemed to be glowing red. There was a burning smell and smell of unburned gas.

What do you think happened? Is my engine gone?

owch........Somehow oil got in the cylinder? HG? I honestly dont know... But black liquid..? what else?

Honestly it could be a host of things. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about whether your engine is finished. Take it to the dealership and see what they say.

Hey.. you drove through my homestate.. Mississippi :)

First: no clue about your car. but sorry to hear it.

second: why'd you go to mobile instead of New Orleans. The celebration in new orleans is much bigger.

Well I went to New Orleans last weekend. And I went to Mobile to the Mystics of Time Ball. It was fun. The dealer said today that my cat converter was totally clogged and it caused cracks in the header area and exhaust. So I guess thats what happened. The good news/ bad news is that Mazda is warrantying it so its free to fix, but now there is no new car for me.
