long story short, got the last motor in, had a blown head gasket, replaced that, and less than two weeks later driving home last night, just getting into boost 3-5 psi, heard a snap and the sound of metal and glass having a white trash meth induced bar fight inside my motor, needless to say she sung no more after that.

got it in the shop waiting on diagnosis, think i broke a rod.

what are my chances i can rebuild the block if a rod blew?

anyone selling a forged solid motor?

You can not rebuild a block that had a snapped rod.

The residual rod makes like a sewing machine, like in that movie ALIENS, where the dude is eating dinner with his buddies..

yea i was thinking speed circuit or protege garage, def going forged, im still unsure as the actualy cause or whats wrong but my heart is telling me broken rod, and if so i can only hop my brand new 2 week old head is still good, and i can get away with a forged long block.

The head is likely not good either.

When the piston comes loose, it can and will probably come in contact with the valves.

The motor is only non interference when everything is attached.
