Theoretically how hard to install Clutch/Flywheel

Dificulty wise...clutches aren't that hard at all. They are just very time consuming. So many little things you gotta remove. I felt the P5 was a lot more time consuming than a civic. You gotta remove stuff like...
*3 motor mounts
*starter
*numerous tranny bolts
*good luck getting the drive shafts outta the hub. (i couldn't, so I pulled them out of the tranny)
*pop the ball joints
*lower sub-frame brace, where the left mount is (also front mount)
*lower splash gaurds
*a few molexes and molex clips
*shift linkage
*then there is the misc. stuff.

p.s. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE DRIVE SHAFTS ALL THE WAY IN THE TRANNY.

hope this helps :D :D :D

Daymn, you can actually rent a garage for $3/hr?? Like all clean, with all the tools you want?

That's awesome... what are those called? where can I find one in my area? (is there a category name for yellow pages or something?)

Sorry to steal the thread!

Military members and their spouses have the liberty to use what we call hobby shops. They are garages with numerous bays, at least 10, that we can use for $3 an hour. There are a few mechanics that watch over the place that you can ask for help. There are some flat bays, and bays with lifts. All the tools you can think of for you to use, including tire changers, lathes, drill presses, and some facilitys even have a paint booth. Just another perk to join and serve your country.:D

This is the second thread today that someone said clutchmasters went out of bussiness. They just released new clutches last month including the EVO VIII.

Sorry, man. . .don't take it personally. :D

There was a posting about this a couple months ago. Obviously it is bogus. :bs: :wtf:

At least I wasn't the only one that read it. :'(

we have the paint booth, although that attracts all the local ricers to paint there car ridiculous colors themselves...there is every tool imagineable at these places...and when i had a question about my short shifter, one of the mechanics helped me install it (i simply couldnt do the snap ring by myself)...and the bays are meticulous here...you get your own tool box, and a whole bunch of tokens...if you need something more rare than sockets and wrenches, etc, then you trade in a token for whatever you need, like snap ring pliars...they even had 13 different sizes and types of sr pliars.

When I was stationed in Alaska, the used the tokens, but here at Eglin, you can check out as many tools as you want, but I usually turn one in before getting another. Oh, I forgot, airtools out the ying yang are also supplied.:D
