the worst mazda dealership in md

Jesus god, everyone is bitching it looks like...

I got mine at Rich Morton near Glen Burnie MD, they were pretty good, and nice on a little bit of warranty work.

I'd bet it helped that my salesman was fiance's best friend's dad though.

I bought my car from Darcars, although it was at the old College Park location. No problems on my end, except for the manager trying to insist that he needed my social although I was paying with a personal check.

Now, the Russell parts dept., try calling for a part without a part number and they hang up on you.

Heritage Mazda in Bel Air was pretty good to me when I bought my car there. The post-sales customer service has been a bit on the low side. My sales guy in particular will say "Yeah yeah, we can do/install that" and then it turns out it doesn't work in my car, he doesn't have one in stock or he misquoted me by hundreds of dollars.

It's getting a bit annoying frankly.

"So how does the Sirius radio work? Can I plug my existing unit somewhere into the stock head unit?"
'Yeah, no problem, a plug just goes right in the back of it'
"Ok great!"

***Days later after receiving my car, I call him***

"I still need to know how to plug in my Sirius radio into the back of the head unit"
'Oh you can't do that, you need to buy the factory one'
"At $400+ dollars?"
'No no! It's no where near that expensive, it's more like $100. I'll get you our cost on it even'

***Never calls me back with a proper price, so I finally walk into the store on my way home***

"I came to check on that radio price you were talking about"
'Oh yeah! For your iPod? No problem, call me tomorrow and we'll get you a quote on one'

Hopeless...

I also bought the cargo net and all weather floor mats which they didn't install at first, so I had to go back for them the next day. Then I got some crap about how he had to rob Peter to pay Paul to give them to me. Then the cargo net I got wasn't even the right one (meant for the sedan).

So far I love the car...not at all happy with the customer service though.

anyone have any input on shaeffer and strominger in Towson

Cable43 I so hear you on the cheesesteak thing, I am from Jersey right over the bridge from philly and it hasn't been the same for me since I moved down here.

But I am working on it

well.... who the f is any good?

as someone who thinkin' about movin' to MD soon you guys are paintin' a pretty picture

I mean I already know I won't be able to find a good cheese steak for 150+ miles, but no good zoom zoom dealers- i'm thinkin about callin' it off!

I haven't had any problems with Brown's Mazda in VA. Just over the border. My uncle goes there too and he loves them.

.....and Rich Morton is no longer an authorized Mazdaspeed dealer so they cant work on any mazdaspeed vehicle..

when did this happen?

If they are not an authorized dealer, then they cannot sell them as well yes? I could have swore I saw a black ms3 there a couple weeks ago....

its in Annapolis... I work there... :) this place doesnt b**** about mods at all unless its blatant abuse that can never be passed off as something that just goes wrong... and Rich Morton is no longer an authorized Mazdaspeed dealer so they cant work on any mazdaspeed vehicle..

I am trying to find a dealer to do the Clutch TSB on my car that won't give me the runaround and that has done them before because I am a little leary in being the guinea pig for such a large service. How is Fitz'y with that?

I've heard good things about Brown Mazda...might try them if there's a Mazda purchase in my future.

When looking for good dealerships in MD or positive things about MD, might want to stay away from threads titled "the worst mazda dealership in md". Just like any place MD is going to have it's ups and downs based on what you're looking for. I think MD is a cool place, most of the drivers should have their license nuked though.

lol... better be... with the huge discount i give forum members... :)

Really. That's real cool of you. Wish I would've known this when I bought my 6.

I went to Congressional Mazda in Rockville, MD and the treated me well. Got an internet quote went in looked at the car and bought it. Pretty straightforward.
