Just so you know most people prefer the functionality of the audiolink ipod integration module vs. the OEM one. I haven't used the OEM one but it's said to have a very poor interface. Also if you don't get the switchbox then the 3.5mm input in the console will no longer function. To that end the audiolink has a built in 3.5mm input.

Thanks for the info, she really has no other need for the 3.5mm jack other than her iPod right now so loosing it will not affect her. I am curious about the difference in functionality between the OEM and the audiolink though.

Where would one go to source the proper audiolink for a 2008?
