in alll seriousness sport compact car did a test on this about 3-4 years ago. they had the owner of the company come in and do the install so there couldn't be any claims of improper install. they dyno'd it and there was no change whatsoever in h.p. they drove it for 6 full tanks of gas and got no increased fuel milage whatsoever.


bottom line the thing is a gimmic, you'd get as much hp out of it as u would sticking a hks sticker on your car.

Yeah, but give the guy props..he sells this stuff like crazy, and makes shitloads of money...soo, props to him. And also, I think it works better on some cars than others...depends on the design of the engine, and the intake and its specs, and driving conditions/driver actions etc. Still, he prolly pays 2 bux per gimmicky tornadoe thingy, and gets how much for it?

Miata Mag tested it back in 99, it lost 2 hp and some 1 ft/lb torque on the dyno...intake restriction was their guess as to why.

Vortex, Typhoon, Tornado...all the same, none have proven to work.
For $69, you can have something no one else has or wants...and doesn't work, or maybe even makes things worse...a bargain at twice the price!

Bet you can put a wad of foil in your intake for a lot less than $69.

You'll get even better economy and also block police radar...

Actually, the Tornado is secured in place in the intake path... Doesn't spin, it just sits there and swirls the air...

Whenever you see something like the tornado, or those Magnets that you put on fuel lines, etc., you have to ask yourself this question: If something like this works as good as they say, wouldn't you think the major manufacturers would be installing them from the factory?

yes it just sits there but it spins the air like a tornado and lets air get into the engine faster and gives a better fuel/air mixture. (at least thats what they claim.) And it was awarded the product of the month by Hot rods magazine. Now doesnt that tell you that it might not be a gimmick?

Hot Rod magazine is hardly an unbiased source. All those mags get paid kickbacks and advertising money.

Besides that, the 3s (and maybe the 3i?) already has an air tumble control system. There couldn't possibly be any additional benefit on our cars.

You know that water spinning thing they do with the water? Try that. The water pours out just as fast either way, if not slower via the cyclone method. The cyclone action of spinning just adds to the advertisement.

lets sit down and really think this one thru....lets say it does spin the air....take into consideration the maf would totally f*ck that up royally and if the maf didn't then the vtcs would too. Once you figure out the purose of vtcs you wil realize you don't need the turbonator( the one that is not reccomended on turbo vehicles(rofl) )

I'll also kill another rumor ....20HP ebay chips...send ME $30USD and I guarentee your car will be faster(hand) I prefer paypal and do it in incriments of $5 and $10 only...must buy now for this once in a lifetime introductory price

a local tv station took 3 different vehicles, tried 4 different companies claims that their gas additives would increase fuel economy. One of the companies was also the toronado, well not a single additive or the toronado increased any gas mileage... The tests were done on the same day, same roads and speeds (they actually used a Bondurant test track so they wouldnt be stuck in different traffice lights or scenerios... So I would NEVER invest in any gimmick like that...

the additives are only worth half a octane point if that...and guess what if the car only recognizes 87 octane and below...140 octane wouldn't shed you even .012367458HP on a cold dry(pavement) day traveling downhill in the direction of the wind 1240 feet above sea level in the opposite direction that the earth spins on it's axis. You can use it as a cleaner to break up that soot in the bottom of the tank that may have been sitting there for a little bit of time and thats it...If you really wanna clean an engine use combustion chamber cleaner...(03 and 04 no need to)

just covering both bases....no hp gain and not the +mpg or range you are expecting to gain rom a slower (Difrent)burning fuel...some people think the gas stations have 3 types of gas for the type of persons income...87 for poor 89 for middle class and 91 and up for the rich. (evil) In that case...anyone who owns a dodge neon r/t that requires 91 and up octane(not made up) must be rich...no?
