The smoking issue again, but mine is worse. Need advice.

First off i have CAI and a magnaflow.

NOw i have always had the smoke issue at idle just like everyone else, which should totally be fixed by mazda IMO. ANyway my smoking issue has just hit the roof. It now smokes like crazy almost instantly whether I let it idle or not. ITs the same white smoke. ANd when i punch it and boost in high RPM's it just billows huge clouds of smoke. ITs so annoying. Anyone know if my car is experiencing more problems then eveyone elses or what? Im going to go get my clutch recall done and an oil change so i think im going to bring it up to them at that time.

I have the same mods! I went to the dealer and the told me the only fix is a new turbo! They did the work with no mention of my mods. When I went in a few days ago for my clutch tsb I asked how many speed6 peps had been in for the smoke, he told me they had 2 in the shop getting new turbo's and 1 in the lot waiting. He also told me a cx-7 was there for the same thing. I hope they dont give u a problem because it is the turbo and that has nothing to do with your mods!!

not that ANYONE really cares what i say o nthis site . but when i asked mazda about modding my car they said i could do anything i wanted as long as it diddnt set off the engine light . and if it did . the corosponding parts would be void . like if ur exaust set off a o2 sensor . ur emissions warrnty would be gone . .

I dont know much about that, the only cel I have had show up was due to the TB and they replaced it!

Thats interesting that they are replacing your whole turbo. I've had it in twice already for the smoke and they just keep replacing the seals. As of right now its not smoking but we will see how long this seal holds up.

Am I to understand that a dealer in Maryland is replacing your turbo seals under warranty? Which dealer have you been taking your car to?

THis is a well known issue with the speed 6 and has nothing to do with the mods. Basicly, mazda's lack luster design team strikes again. Just be happy your engine doesn't fall out at random intervals.

Yea its been under warranty, after all it is mazda's problem not mine. I didnt pay for 29k for a car to smoke, I couldve paid 1500 and got the same effect lol. I go to the one here in Rockville, MD by the name of Congressional Mazda. They are decent except for when they tried to jerk me around about the TSB.
