The Slammed Life

finally my AWR rear sway bar is on the way. once that comes with adjustable end links I think I have everything I need to slam this b****

on a side note i have 17x7 rims with 215/45/17 tires and a +48 offset. will i be tucking tire or will i need camber?

but ive been searching craigslist for a nice pair of 18" rims. any suggestions for what I should be looking for?

You'll be pretty sunk. +48 is fairly high. Whether or not you're tucking depends on how low you're going to go.

I'd also stick to 17 or smaller.

this is a +47 offset on 18s and you can tell the tire is still in the fenders.

I know my cars not slammed (not trying to be) and if i was on 17s the front lip would still be lower than most just trying to answer Zakamn's offset question.

Did you tell yourself that when you paid for the paint job, lol. Just take the damn compliment JT, lulz.

Could anyone running BC's on their Protege post a couple pics of their coils? Been thinking about switching and just curious how they differ from my Ksport's, especially the lower mount. I keep hearing the word "cartridge" and not sure what that is. Either way I know I'll need shorter everything to be as low as I want on them though.

cartridge is just a dampener. it's specifically the body of the "coilover". what houses the gas and is the strut assembly. you can buy these for about 100.00 each to rebuild the coilover.

Damian, since it's you that said it, I have to be a smart ass...

I just finished picking up the last of my the "lip kit" so I now have p5 sides to put on. the rear lip for the back bumper, rear trunk spoiler, and I have my own home made front lip to put on.

I don't think my 929 is quite "slammed" yet but she is as close as I can get her if I plan on driving her all winter long.

Here's a few before shots for comparison.

He has a rare Carbon Fiber JDP lip made specifically for the 3rd gen Protege. There were very few made and even less survived
