I suggest you do read it though, very interesting stuff. Good thing I drove normal with a few spiritted runs in between. I didn't however change my oil until about 1.7k miles. I now have synthetic in there. Hope that's good.

I've read that site before and it's all fine but I would go by what the owners manual says. 600 miles of break in. No long periods of the same speed, no red line, drive like you normally would.

Check the book for exact terms and times. You don't want to baby it but don't beat the crap out of it.

that is fine if you rebuilt your engine but i doesn't hold true to cars bought new. the engine in a new car has been broke in long before it was placed in the car and made ready for sale. there is really no need to break in an engine in a new car. it has already been done before you get it.

motorcycles how ever are different in that motorcycle companys are much smaller in scale and don't normally break in there engines before there sold. that is why when you buy a new bike there is a break in pamplet that explans the process.
