The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Never understood the boner for rpf1s. Kind of a generic design. The only thing I see going for those is the weight, but that's about it.

I used to be all gung ho for tsw nurburgring, but then everyone started buying them. Not unique = steamy poo. Personality is important, imo. If you question whose car it is when you drive by me, I'm doing something wrong. All my current or past vehicles are unique.

Your opinion is wrong.

When I first got into the import scene back in 2000 I had a boner for RPF1's, Racing Hart CP-035's and Volk TE37's. Of those three I can really only afford 2/3 and I think the Racing Harts are discontinued. I had a mega-boner for a solid month when Jon sold me his silver RPF1's off of his red turbo P5. I had some severe buyers remorse spending that much money on wheels and tires for $1k but they were a good deal and my dream wheels.

Guess it's kinda nice having low standards though. I'm perfectly content with RPF1's and 278awhp/302 torque. :)

If money wasn't an issue what wheels would you guys buy for your car? (did I already ask this question a month ago?)

thats why i loved my OZ Superleggera's... hardly ever see them and they are almost as light RPF1's are haha

On my third set of RPF1's granted this latest set is black. Appearance and uniqueness are not priorities with the RX7 so I can live with them being "played out." I like how they look and for the cost-to-weight ratio alone they can't be beat. There's a reason they're on just about every CTSCC car. Sure, TE27s or CE28Ns are lighter but I'm not going to spend $4K on wheels for a car worth less than that.

For the Abarth, either the O.Z. Alleggerita or the Leggenda in white (17x7).
For the Civic, either another set of RPF1's (15x7) or some 6UL's (15x7)
For the Bavaria, I'd love to get a set of the 16x7 or 8 BBS baskets from the E39 5 series

I'm pretty generic.

but they all look good, subtle and fit the car well. Well the white may not be subtle, but it is an Abarth.

I can't think of anything specifically. Currently, my ideal wheel would be the lightest available for the size and offset I want (currently 17x9 +22) and have the fewest spokes/simplest design (easier to clean/better for brake cooling). I think the TE27s fit that best right now. I haven't looked at them in a while.

Yeah, not so subtle, but I've seen a couple with them and it looks pretty good to me. I'll see if I can find one and post it.

There has been a set for sale with those specs in Cbus for forever. I will see if I can find them

Today has been one of those days that when people start talking to me if feel like this is the face I make:

Maybe I should've taken more days off.

I had to check. They're 18x10.5 +22 and he's asking $3400. The price actually isn't bad they're a little too big to squeeze under the RX-7.
