The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Stippers and Blow are expensive too, but you don't see me complaining ;)

Oooooo, carbon fiber. Where did you get carbon fiber? I may be interested in actually modding a gun other than an AR.

eBay... 3 years before I even bought the gun. Lol.

Edit: there's purple and green pearl in a clearcoat on either side to match.

Planning on getting my CCW, wondering who (that wants to disclose) carries and what. Right now my choice is a PK380 as a P99 is out of my price range.

Per Tom C, the PK380 is not worth it, the 99 is the way to go. Tom owns 5 Walthers. He recommends the PPX, $400.

Not a fan of carrying guns. Chances are if there ever were a case where someone was giving me trouble and said they had a gun, I think I would rather just hand them my wallet and not take 2 to the chest. Maybe I'm wrong.

...... I got mine first lol. He didnt know I had mine when he bought his lol. But yeah, his is a 40.

That she did. Funny thing was that I bought mine on a whim. Never saw or heard of them before seeing it at Pro Armament in Cuyahoga Falls. Bought it, sent her a picture, and her response was something along the lines with "Are you ******* with me?" I have the P239 which is a bit larger, and all hardware has the rainbow finish on it.

I had to look up the PPX because I'm not familiar with it. Not an attractive firearm I must say. I guess it's Walthers entry-level full-size?

It's not about shooting back. If someone already has a draw on you you've already lost. Best concede, hope they don't figure out you're carrying, and keep your life. It's more about prevention. Not everything thief, rapist, etc. is going to be carrying a firearm and even if they are most are opportunistic. As soon as they realize their own life is at stake most will run away.

How do you like the P239? I've heard mixed stories.

Heck, my rifle takes 10 minutes to find, uncase, unlock (3x), find bullets and load. Definatly NOT a self defense setup. More of a fun toy. I'm sure when I get a handgun it'll be locked up pretty good too.

I don't currently feel threatened anywhere, but every time Marc comes over to my place he points out I live in the ghetto side of Parma. I've never had any issues, but there's a guy in the building that owns 3 cars that looks pretty sketchy... (rolleyes)

It's never about being threatened, its about being prepared. You have jumper cables in your car, right? Some would say that's feeling threatened if following the same logic.

I'll counter that with the fact that being a girl driving a convertible I have felt threatened before. To be honest the situation I worry about most would be getting yanked out of the car and taken somewhere. In that situation there's no way I would pull my firearm while it's happening. It would have to happen later at some point. Trying to draw my firearm while being belted into the miata seat wouldn't be a second-nature type thing. Damn those little, yet effective bolsters.

Maybe it would be too little, too late but I think it would depend on the attacker/situation.
