The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I have a smart phone, will you guys hire me? I even know how to turn it on and off, but that's about it.

Planning on getting my CCW, wondering who (that wants to disclose) carries and what. Right now my choice is a PK380 as a P99 is out of my price range.

Depending on clothes, I carry a Springfield XD9 full size or a Sig Sauer P238 (rent one at the marksman, perhaps the best pocket pistol out imo). I have also carried a full sized 1911 while I was borrowing it from my brother.

I used to carry a S&W Bodyguard380, but the P238 won my heart a year later.

I considered the Bodyguard 380, but I'm afraid it would be too small for my hand. Also, I don't think pocket carry would work very well for me, so I'm looking for something that is compact.

When I had a cc permit in NH, I carried my Colt Govt. Model .380. Yep it's a fairly small firearm, but I'm a fairly small guy LOL (5'3") Anything bigger wouldn't have been concealed very well! I am debating getting my permit here in Ohio, but shelling out the $$ for the class required doesn't seem worth it to me.

I can get the info of my CCW instructor if you guys are interested. I would highly recommend him and his class was only $45 and he owns his own range. I have the paper work at home so i can post it later.

anybody else stocking up on mega millions tickets? it's up to $181 million ($98 cash option)

Wow, a lot of .380 carriers here. I never really liked that round. Pablo, when you say P99 do you mean the full-size or the compact (P99C)? I carry a P99C (9 mm), which was a little cheaper than a full-size P99 and definitely more concealable. That being said even the P99C is "wide" so I sometimes find myself wishing I went with the PPS (then I remind myself of the trigger). A lot of people will recommend the XD series.

Hey, you won the Cobb V2 case you gave me, little buddy!

Then again, I guess you didn't really win it, per se. You were just fast at responding...

I carry a Sig P238 also

Which version? I went with the standard, but thought hard on the SAS, wasn't worth it in the end IMO

Yea, I'm comfortable with the 380 round after test upon test I've seen. While I can carry and conceal well my XD9 in just about any clothes, the pocket carry of the P238 makes life a crap ton easier between work holstering/unholstering and the little one (not always easy to check your shirt carrying a baby in a huge blanket.

I do wish I had a XDs for a middle of the ground between the two.
