The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I will never understand why people pay for shipping on amazon. Prime covers your whole family for free 2 day shipping. Doesn't even have to be the same household.
We have Prime. It pays for itself multiple times over every year, especially around the holidays. Problem in most cheap items ($20 or less) typically don't have a Prime option. I also hate this new crap Amazon added where some items can't be purchased by themselves. I don't care if it's a $5 item with $10 shipping if it's still cheaper than I can buy locally.

Do they have to use the same Amazon login?
Nope, one account can extend to a whole family. My wife technically has the Prime account but it's also applied to my Amazon account.

In other news Ian took his first few steps unsupported last night. Not walking on his own by any means but it shouldn't be too far along now. Let the fun begin!

Better dust off your running shoes. We're in the "NO!" phase now. Everything is no, even if it's really a yes.

Oh yes, I remember those days well. GL guys! :)

So... all you fun people with thoughts in your heads... Say for example, you were going to a dealership to look at a new car. I know, most of us don't do that s***, but hear me out. What type of things in said dealership would you like to see? Just trying to get some thoughts.

Personally, I would like to see some of the factory backed racing posters. That shows they back up their cars with the abuse of racing and factory support to drivers. Like some posters of the new 6 on track. Even though it's nothing like the 6 sitting in the dealership. haha. Might make potential buyers think it's sportier than it really is. :)

But I haven't been in a dealership in a very long time. I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Id like the sales people to know their cars and not spout off nonsense. And by that, I mean not showing me a mazda 3 sedan and asking if i want skyactiv when I show up asking to look at a speed3. (Mazda in kent...cough cough)

People that actually know the car and just don't read the brochure on it. I hate it when I go to test drive a car and know more about it than the sales associate. Boobies are nice too :)

I generally look for Nick and bug him.

I kill free time at dealerships just to look at cars, not to test drive them (mostly higher end stuff that I could never afford). At say the Mazda dealership, If I don't know any salesmen there I see how long it takes someone to come talk to me and how they go about it. It's usually after I've climbed into the driver's seat of a car in the showroom, never while I'm looking at a car outside.

I did have a salesman fired once. He told me I couldn't afford a car so I had them run my credit, was approved then walked out.

Which salesperson? I think I know who, lol.

I want a stargate at the entrance--yeah!!

I like their little waiting area now with coffee and magazines and popcorn but wouldn't mind music playing.... There is only one man door pointed towards the shop area, I wouldn't mind a few windows so the customers can watch the mechanics work on vehicles. I like watching that, even if it isn't my own car.

I'm just going off of the Mazda dealer in kent since I haven't been to any others....

that is awesome.

And I've pulled into the lot before when it's RAINING and before I can get out of my car, a salesman is usually heading for me.

I would say, for a Mazda dealership, If they don't have Mazdaspeed parts on the shelf, they aren't worth visiting. Same goes for Ford, if they don't carry Ford Racing, stay away.

^^^ This. I'm not sure if I understand the question

More so the building. What kind of perks / building features would you like to see. For example, what Jess said about seeing the cars being worked on. ETC.
