The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Speaking of acronyms, I never understood the VVT thing either. You guys are basically saying "How's your variable valve timing?". Umm, fine, how's yours? Unless you mean the timing chain, VVT sprocket that is misaligned?

Why spend $700 on replacing my timing chain and guides when I can just swap out the whole motor and sell my running 150k motor for about $1000 to someone looking to build a motor? ;)

You can check the chain slack without taking the valve cover off.
No reason to break the factory seal if you don't have to.
We all know that breaking a seal never ends well ..... :)

okay yes it doesn't sound right when you think about it... I guess. But everyone knows what I mean when I say it. I try to check it through the oil filler cap but I just want to make sure.

haven't even checked if I have the update, wanna see what other people say about it on the 4S

I have it on my 5. I'm not wild about the colors they use now and the white keyboard, but I like the top and bottom pull down menus. I like that I can access my wifi, BT, calculator, music, etc. easily without going through different menus.

Woo! No more exhaust leak. Thanks Phen for letting me use your garage and extensions last night! That Frank Zappa album was cracking me up.

He also witnessed first hand the bad welds, bad aluminum tabs, etc on my SU TMIC. Lol

I have a ton of projects on my list/desk, but they are all in for review, expecting comments back any second now, so it's kind of been a slow morning. I've been helping others in the office with Dam and Pond calculations.

Daughter updated her 4S last night. I'm sure I'll hear about any problems as soon as I walk in the door tonight. lol Her only gripe this morning was that iMessaging was not showing whether it was delivered or not. Of all the things to be upset about...teenage girls! lol

I've been browsing there along with ebay, cars.com, carsforsale.com etc. Guess I should expand my search from a Miata if I want to find relatively decent prices. lol Missed a nice deal on one in FL over the weekend though. :(

i find a nice 2005 Audi s4 (the v8 awd model) with a 6 sp manual and 70k miles in pitt for around 13k... also found some nice 2003-2006 bmw 3 series coupes all with under 75k miles and similar 13k prices, couple 2005-2007 CLK500/CLK550's for similar pricing as well haha

Nice finds. For a little more though you can have a 92 sunburst yellow miata with low mileage. I get it's rare and well taken care of but don't think it's worthy of a $15,000 price!
